By means of this quite original fantasy Jef Penders invites both musicians and listeners to discover the typical Christmas atmosphere in eight different countries. We hear successively Christmas music as performed in Portugal, Bohemia, America, Spain, Italy, England and France. Despite the rather simple instrumentation, Jef Penders, as usual, succeeded to realize a colourful and extremely well orchestrated piece. This nice composition, written in 1983, must be rediscovered as it certainly deserves to be put on tour Christmas repertoire.
