Concerto Alfresco for Trumpet and Large Orchestra

Infused with latin rhythms and improvisatory jazzlike passages for the trumpet soloist, the mood of this single-movement concerto islight and effervescent. This work was awarded First Prize in the Doc Severinsen InternationalComposition Contest and premiered by the University of Tennessee Symphony, Allen Vizzutti trumpet soloist. Length ca. 9'.
