Gioia, original for brass and percussion ensemble. Commissioned by the great horn musician and friend Quico Rico, who gave this small piece as a gift to his sisters. The musical theme is built on a small motif that occurs throughout the piece to create large lyrical lines and to exploit the sonority and elegance of the brass ensemble. The version for wind orchestra was commissioned by the "Banda Municipal de Vitoria-Gasteiz" and their conductor Luis Orduña.
