für zwei Klaviere
In time for the 200th birthday of Richard Wagner, Enjott Schneider has presented his 'Minuten-Tristan' in a version for two pianos. Originally composed for a dozen pianos, 'Minuten-Tristan' presents the highlights of Wagner's monumental work in a daring tour de force of no more than five minutes, bringing amazing things to light: The Tristan chord shows its true harmonic calling in the tango, while the opening bars lead to a lively ragtime and the tragic Liebestod occurs in bright three-four time. This piece is a witty parodistic tribute, full of humour and affectionate mockery, to the famous composer.
